New Delhi reports Universal charger smartphone.  If all goes well, India may soon have a single universal USB- typeC charger for all smartphones.  With this, while the cost of chargers for electronic devices will also come down, the pollution caused by electronics gadgets will also come down significantly.  It is worth noting that at present 6 different types of chargers are available in the Indian market for different electronic devices including smartphones, earbuds, tablets, gaming consoles, due to which the price of electronic devices also increases.

In this regard, the European Union has recently made universal USB-C charger mandatory and soon it will be launched in the market.  The European Union claims that if the universal USB-C charger rule is implemented, then 11,000 tonnes of electronic waste generated every year will be stopped.  This is why the European Union (EU) has passed a resolution ordering the use of USB-C chargers for all types of electronic devices.

In fact, India is a big market for electronic gadgets and devices and the effect of this decision of the European Union will be visible on India and soon universal USB-C charger can be implemented here too.  If a new law is passed from the European Union, then smartphone makers will be required to implement it within 24 months.

 Apple company protested

The Apple company has opposed the decision to implement the Universal USB-C charger.  The company said that by doing this new innovations will end, while some experts have described wireless charging as a better solution.  The new rule of universal USB-C charger will be applicable exclusively for smartphones and small electronic devices.  At present, laptops and other large devices have not been included in this.
